These nice ladies came shopping at The Rug Cottage today. In talking with them I discovered that they were from a small town, Exira, Iowa near my hometown of Avoca, Iowa. Someone asked about how old we were and guess what..... we all graduated in 1981, then we discovered that we all use to play basketball against each other. That was when Iowa played 6 on 6 girls basketball. Exira girls basketball won the state championships this year with a perfect season. It was so neat because this is the last year Exira is a school. Next year they will merge with other schools in the area and be renamed.
We all had a fun time reminiscing about our "glory" years as star basketball players. Ha! Ha!
