Why The Rug Cottage is Painted Yellow

One of my favorite places in the world is Mackinaw Island in Michigan. Cars have been banned from the island of years and all transportation is done by horse drawn carriages. The island has the most beautiful Victorian homes, B & B's and island scenery. Our family has been lucky enough to have stayed there many times. These pictures were taken a few years back. I fell in love with the paint scheme of this cottage with their white gingerbread trim and red geranium filled flower boxes

Beautiful filled fower boxes. The island has the most wonderful flowers.
